Becoming Led Zeppelin is an authorized documentary that traces the journeys of Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham and Robert Plant from their post‑war British childhoods through the 1960s music scene to the formation of Led Zeppelin in 1968 and their meteoric rise by 1970.
Told in the band's own words, it combines newly conducted interviews, rare archival audio from Bonham, and extensive never‑before‑seen footage of early UK and US concerts, focusing on how the group's influences in blues, R&B, folk, and rock fused into their sound.

The film does not have a traditional, numbered song tracklist like a concert; instead it features a large number of period recordings and Zeppelin tracks woven through the narrative.
